Medical Staff Credentialing Coordinator – Full Time
Advanced ICU Care, located in St. Louis, , MO, is now seeking a Medical Staff Credentialing Coordinator to join our team
Reporting to the Director, Medical Staff Office, coordinates the Medical Staff and Advanced Practice Professionals’ credentialing and re-credentialing function within the Medical Staff Office. Ensures applications are processed in accordance with established policies, rules and regulations, bylaws and regulatory governmental standards thereby ensuring that only qualified practitioners provide care at Advanced ICU Care. The Medical Staff Services Credentialing Coordinator will participate in projects initiated to facilitate credentialing and verification tasks, act as a valuable resource to the medical staff and its leadership, and support activities of the medical staff and the tasks associated with related committee functions.
Key responsibilities for this position include:
Facilitates and ensures timeliness of all aspects of credentialing including appointment, reappointment, monitoring and privileging for Medical Staff and Advanced Practice Professional staff
Processes initial credentialing/re-credentialing applications of Medical Staff and Advanced Practice Professional staff.
Obtains licensures, certificates, and insurance certificates at time of appointment, reappointment, expiration, or upon request for additional privileges.
Processes and distributes appropriate correspondence to internal and external customers.
Assist Medical Staff committees with development of privilege criteria, privilege delineations, and other documents necessary for an effective credentialing process.
Maintains a working knowledge of Joint Commission, State and Federal regulations and standards related to the Medical Staff organization. Ensures compliance with accrediting and regulatory agencies
